(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has issued a shelter-in-place for a neighborhood in southeast Colorado Springs on the morning of Friday, Jan. 26, 2024.
According to CSPD, on Friday at around 6:45 a.m. police issued an alert on Peak Alerts for the area of Kodiak Drive and Carmel Drive near Monterey Road related to a barricaded suspect in the area.
Police are asking the public in the area to stay indoors, lock and stay away from windows and doors, and stay out of the immediate area at this time. CSPD said it would send an all-clear message when appropriate.
