Burning plastic caused school evacuation, no injuries

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — John Adams Elementary School was briefly evacuated after smoke set off a fire alarm on Thursday, Feb. 15.

School District 11 (D11)’s Jessica Wise said on Thursday, that a small heater burned some plastic, causing smoke that set off fire alarms. The school was evacuated as a precaution.

There was no fire and D11 said no injuries.
