(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — A full closure of Meridian Road is planned in north of Falcon during School District 49’s spring break to allow crews to make necessary improvements while not impeding school traffic.

According to El Paso County, Meridian Road will be closed between Rex Road and Antler Ridge Drive from March 18 – March 29. The county said the closure will provide a safer working environment in the narrow pavement area as crews work to widen the area and relocate a gas line.

A detour will be in place utilizing Ayer, Goodson and Rex Roads. The county said the road will be reopened on March 30 in time for school to start back up on April 1.
