KOA shooter pleads guilty to 2nd-degree attempted murder

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — According to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) on Thursday, March 28, Steven Hollingsworth pleaded guilty to 2nd-degree attempted murder for the shooting of a 30-year-old man at a KOA Campground in Pueblo.

PCSO was called to the campground for the shooting on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, which occurred after 54-year-old Hollingsworth got into an argument with the victim and then shot him multiple times. The victim was flown to the hospital with serious injuries.

Hollingsworth was arrested on Jan. 2, 2024 without incident. He is currently in the Pueblo County Jail and will be sentenced on June 11.
