(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is responding to a motorcycle on fire on northbound I-25 near the Woodmen Road exit, and delays are expected.

CSFD posted about the fire just before 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, and said multiple engines as well as the U.S. Air Force Academy Fire Department were on scene. In attached photos, a thick plume of black smoke is visible coming from the motorcycle on the shoulder of the northbound lanes, just north of Woodmen Road.

CSFD said one person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. CSFD said northbound traffic is heavily impacted, and alternate routes are advised.
