Park County pursuit ends with crash in South Breckenridge

DENVER (KDVR) — An individual wanted on felony charges out of Teller County was apprehended after crashing in Park County, according to the Park County Sheriff’s Office.

The Park County agency reported their deputies were contacted Saturday morning about a person with a felony warrant by the Teller County Sheriff’s Office. The Teller County agency was actively receiving locations of where the wanted person was.

Park County Sheriff’s Office first located the suspect vehicle outside Fairplay on Highway 9 and initiated a pursuit. When safety obstacles were presented, deputies stopped the chase. However, the suspect vehicle crashed near the town of Blue River in southern Breckenridge.

The suspect was determined to be OK but needed extrication to exit their vehicle.
