Colorado Springs named third best place to live

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-25 ranked Colorado Springs as third out of 150 cities as the best place to live.

The ranking by U.S. News & World Report is the seventh year in a row that Colorado Springs has ranked in the top ten according to the City. The report looked at how well a city meets Americans’ living expectations, including measures of value, job market, desirability, and quality of life.

“Our secret is out – Colorado Springs is indisputably one of the best places to live in our great country, and we are proud to again rank as one of the top cities in this reputable list by U.S. News & World Report,” said Mayor Yemi Mobolade.

The report said Colorado Springs manages to maintain a small-town feel despite being Colorado’s second-largest city. The report also mentions that Colorado Springs has lower healthcare, utilities, and transportation costs than the average city in Colorado.

“Deciding where to live is a significant decision many people make based on a number of factors that mean most to them,” said Erika Giovanetti, loans expert and reporter, U.S. News & World Report. “The Best Places to Live rankings identify cities that are most likely to meet the wants and needs of those considering where to call home next.”

The report also mentions Colorado Springs’s history with the Olympics and being home to the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Centers and the local hiking opportunities around the city.
