(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said roads are closed near South Nevada Avenue and I-25 for a shooting investigation.

CSPD told FOX21 that one person is dead after a shooting in the morning hours of Thursday, May 23. A heavy police presence was seen in the area.

Police are investigating the shooting and are asking the public to avoid the area of S. Nevada Ave. northbound from I-25 to Las Vegas Street and East Mill Street between South Tejon Street and S. Nevada Ave.
