(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is responding to a fire that was reportedly sparked by lightning in the area of Gold Camp Road, south of Bear Creek Park.

CSFD posted about the fire shortly after 6:30 p.m. and said neighbors in the area of Gold Camp Road and Sunrise Lane reported seeing lightning strike followed by flames and smoke. CSFD launched a drone to survey the area, and was able to locate smoke.

CSFD said the drone crew sent coordinates to firefighters and they are working to hike to the location.
