(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Neons Salon and Barbershop is celebrating the Fourth of July with a bang with a party and honoring military personnel with fresh free haircuts.

To show appreciation for veterans and active military Neons Salon and Barbershop is hosting its inaugural “Haircuts for Heroes” event in the Neons parking lot located at 6130 Barnes Road.

The event will offer complimentary haircuts for veterans and military personnel as a token of gratitude for their service and sacrifices. Haircuts will be offered on a first-come-first-serve basis on Thursday, July 4 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Active duty, veterans and military spouses are eligible for free haircuts.

The community is also invited to attend the event that will take place starting at 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. During the event, attendees can also indulge in a variety of food trucks, several booths with activities, and chances to win prizes.

“Everyone in the city is invited to celebrate the spirit of heroic action in an exciting festival atmosphere, featuring live music from local groups like the Kevin Austin Band, Kopesetic, and the World-Famous ACME dueling Pianos. It’s going to be great,” said owner of Neons, Gerald Bray.

Neons is located next to UCHealth Park (Rocky Mountain Vibes stadium), those who attend will also get a great view of the fireworks from the stadium.
