Stabbing in hotel leaves one injured, suspect on the loose

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is investigating a stabbing that took place at a hotel room on Explorer Drive on Wednesday, July 10.

On Wednesday morning, the Colorado Springs Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 call from a witness to a stabbing in a hotel room, in the 9100 block of Explorer Drive.

Upon arrival, officers utilized translators to determine what had happened. According to CSPD, an argument between employees led to a knife being produced by the suspect, who stabbed/”slashed” the victim.

Officers are currently working on identifying the suspect, the victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
