(COLORADO SPRINGS) — South Nevada Avenue, between Brookside Street and the Interstate 25 ramps, will be closed overnight on Wednesday, July 17.
The closure will address a traffic signal removal at the intersection of South Nevada Avenue, East Motor Way, and East Arvada Street starting Wednesday at 9 p.m. through Thursday, July 18 at 5 a.m.
Travelers should plan for additional travel time and seek alternate routes. Detours will be in place on South Nevada Avenue:
Northbound traffic is advised to take Brookside Street to South Tejon Street to I-25 South Connector Road to South Nevada Avenue.
Southbound traffic is advised to take I-25 North Connector Road to South Tejon Street to Brookside Street to S. Nevada Avenue.
Eastbound traffic can take South Tejon Street to I-25 South Connector Road to South Nevada Avenue, or South Tejon Street to Brookside Street to S. Nevada Avenue.
Westbound traffic on East Arvada can take South Wahsatch Avenue to Brookside Street to South Tejon Street to I-25 South Connector Road to South Nevada Avenue.
If work is delayed or interrupted by weather, a second closure will occur starting Thursday, July 18 at 9 p.m. through Friday, July 19 at 5 a.m.
