Two arrested in burglary of a cell phone store

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) officers arrested two people after an alleged burglary of a cell phone business in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Aug. 21.

According to police, on Wednesday just before 5 a.m., officers were called to a business in the 3700 block of East Pikes Peak Avenue off of South Academy Boulevard. When officers arrived they determined the suspects allegedly had broken the front door and taken multiple items.

Police tracked the suspects identified as Julius Patterson Jr. and Deaundre McDowell who had left the area south on foot, police contacted the suspects who were allegedly found with stolen items from the store. The stolen items were returned to the store.
