(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Friday, Aug. 23, around 11:30 p.m., the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to reports of a shooting that turned fatal near South Academy Boulevard and Hancock Expressway.
According to CSPD, when officers arrived at the 2600 block of Delta Drive, they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and aided him until medical personnel arrived on scene. He was taken to the hospital where he died of his injuries.
The Homicide Unit took over the investigation and is gathering information on a suspect.
