(U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.) — Neighbors near the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) may be seeing a lot more air traffic this week. The USAFA Cadet Wing is participating in an exercise starting Thursday, Sept. 12.

USAFA will be participating in a contingency exercise from Thursday, Sept. 12 through Sunday, Sept. 15. This exercise offers cadets exposure to U.S. Air Force missions and assets, and also the opportunity to participate in mission planning for joint operations.

Individuals who live near the Academy can expect to see and hear increased air traffic, including overnight operations.
