A reverse emergency notification has been sent to residents in the area to shelter in place, however, limited evacuations have been done, police said.

North Metro Fire Rescue said they are supporting Broomfield police with the scene. SWAT, as well as crisis negotiators, are also on scene.
Jefferson Academy Secondary School has been placed on secured status due to its proximity to the scene. A secure status means school is functioning as usual but the doors are locked and no one is allowed in.
FOX31 has a crew on the way to learn more and Broomfield police said they will provide updates as they become available.
