Firefighting equipment donated to sister city during visit

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) donated firefighting equipment to visitors from Colorado Springs’ sister city in Chihuahua, Mexico to help them protect the citizens of their city.

CSFD said the department was recently visited by the mayor, city council, fire chief, and firefighters from Colorado Springs’ sister city, Nuevo Casas Grandes.

“Every year they come out to visit and this year we had the chance to donate some of our equipment to their fire department to help keep their community members safe,” CSFD said. “The Bomberos (firefighters) in Nuevo Casas Grandes share the heart and soul that your Colorado Springs Firefighters share.”
