(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The holidays are here but you don’t have to break the bank to have a memorable experience. FOX21 News was joined by Bree Shellito, the Senior Manager of Community Impact with Ent Credit Union, on Dec. 5 to discuss how to celebrate the holidays on a budget and the many neat ways to enjoy this time of year that are low-cost and even free.

She suggested looking for community celebrations that are often free and festive like tree lightings, parades and other holiday light displays. Other budget-friendly activities include DIY crafts, baking, and at home movie marathons.

Shellito also suggested signing up for volunteer opportunies to encourage a sense of giving and gratitude together.
