(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The suspect accused of shooting two people at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is back in El Paso County court on Friday, Jan. 17, for a hearing.
Nicholas Jordan, the alleged shooter, is accused of fatally shooting Samuel Knopp and Celie Montgomery in Feb. 2024. According to arrest papers, Jordan was Knopp’s roommate at the UCCS.
In November, Jordan appeared in court for an arraignment hearing where he pled not guilty to the murder of Knopp and Montgomery.
Jordan will appear in court on Friday at 1:30 p.m. A two-week trial will begin on April 7 for the murder charges, and on April 21 he will be back in court for the allegations of a jail assault.
