Phil Long Ford donates $30K to help victims of LA fires

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The fires that started in Southern California on Jan. 7 have caused massive devastation for the people living in the area, and Phil Long Dealerships of Colorado Springs have responded by sending $30,000 to support those displaced.

The fires burned over 40,000 acres, destroyed over 15,000 structures, and killed at least 27 people, as of Jan. 21, according to Forbes.

The Phil Long Dealerships responded out of a deeply personal understanding of the wildfire’s destructive power, after experiencing the devastation of the Colorado Springs wildfires firsthand in 2013, during which they kept their dealership open 24/7 to help firefighters.

This experience motivated them to donate the funds to Team Rubicon, a humanitarian aid organization, to support those displaced by the LA fires. According to a spokesperson for Phil Long Ford, their history of responding to crises underscores their commitment to helping communities in need, wherever they may be.
