(CAÑON CITY, Colo.) — The Cañon City Police Department (CCPD) said officers are investigating a shooting that occurred near Central Avenue in the overnight hours of Friday, Jan. 31.

According to CCPD, on Friday just after midnight, officers were called to the 800 block of North Cottonwood Avenue off of Central Avenue for a report of shots fired.

Officers arrived at the scene and confirmed no one was injured but did verify that there had been a drive-by shooting.

CCPD is investigating the shooting, at this time no arrests have been made.
