CSPD Sergeant accused of allegedly intimidating victim pleads not guilty

(EL PASO/TELLER COUNTY, Colo.) — A Colorado Springs Police Department Sergeant who was accused of alleged inappropriate sexual contact with a minor and had attempted to intimidate the victim, has pleaded not guilty.

Glenn Eric Thomas, a 30-year veteran officer with CSPD, was arrested on Nov. 21, 2024, after a judge signed an arrest warrant. An initial report received in October stated that Sgt. Thomas had allegedly engaged in inappropriate behavior at an address in Woodland Park.

During the investigation, CSPD also learned that Thomas had tried to intimidate the victim. According to an arrest affidavit, the 58-year-old had intimidated the 10-year-old victim into retracting a previous statement she had made about Thomas inappropriately touching her.


Affidavit alleges CSPD officer attempted to intimidate victim

On Tuesday, Feb. 18, Thomas pleaded not guilty to the following charges: Witness/Victim Intimidating, Tampering with Witness/Victim, and two charges of Civil Violations. CSPD said Thomas has been working with the department since 1993, and in November, he was put on administrative leave.

According to court documents, Thomas is set back in court for a status hearing on May 13.
