(FORT CARSON, Colo.) — Fort Carson is advising nearby communities of an increase in noise and dust starting Tuesday, Feb. 25.

Soldiers from the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, will be conducting field artillery training starting Tuesday through Friday, March 7. According to Fort Carson, the training is required to validate field artillery crews, and is a regular part of the combat team’s training cycle.

Individuals can expect an increase in noise and dust throughout the day south of main post.

“Fort Carson is dedicated to being good neighbors and will continue to inform the public about training events that may affect surrounding communities,” Fort Carson wrote. “We will continue to listen to our community and work through any noise issues that may arise. We strive to balance our training requirements with respecting our neighboring communities.”
