(COLORADO SPRINGS) — April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month, and a local Krav Maga studio is holding a self-defense seminar on Saturday, April 26. The event will teach valuable self-protection skills and is also a fundraiser for TESSA, a service provider for victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse.
Ben Skee, Owner and Instructor at First Strike Krav Maga, joined FOX21 Morning News on Monday, April 21, to discuss the seminar and demonstrate some of the moves that will be covered.
The seminar is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. A women-only self-defense seminar takes place at 10 a.m., and a Family Protection Seminar will take place at 1 p.m. A suggested donation of $15 per person for each session is suggested.
