(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said a man was arrested after he allegedly broke into a home in the early morning of Thursday, April 24.
According to CSPD, on Thursday, about 20 minutes after midnight, officers were called to a home in the 400 block of St. Vrain Place near Uintah Street and North 17th Street about a home invasion.
When police arrived, they contacted the victim, who told police her ex had broken into her home and assaulted her before running from the area. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident.

Police, with the help of the Downtown Area Response Team and the Real Time Crime Center, found the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Robert King, who was taken into custody without issue. CSPD said during the course of the investigation, police learned King had allegedly been stalking the victim before the home invasion.
