DENVER (KDVR) — A new speakeasy hidden in Union Station just opened, and it will only stay open during the Denver Nuggets playoff games.
The Nuggets partnered with Union Station to create a pop-up bar for a place to watch the playoffs, known as The Gold Mine. According to Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, it’s only open for all home and away games for the Nuggets.
As long as the Nuggets stay alive this season, so will the bar.
On the lower level of Union Station lies the pop-up bar with two flat-screen televisions on both sides of the room. The speakeasy has live music, buy-one-get-one drinks after each game, halftime jersey giveaways and gives a complimentary drink to the first 50 fans to arrive for each game.
Usually, the historic space is rented out for private events, but for the playoffs, it’s dedicated to Nuggets fans looking for a place to watch the game.
The bar opens two hours before tip-off during each Nuggets game. So, it will open at 6 p.m. on Thursday ahead of the game against the LA Clippers. It will also be open on Saturday and for the remaining Nuggets playoff games.
