(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) arrested a man who had active warrants during a routine patrol.

On Tuesday, May 27, a DART Officer observed a man known to have active warrants. The officer contacted the man, identified as Kenneth Johnson, who then ran away on foot. With the assistance of another officer, Johnson was taken into custody a short distance away, according to CSPD.

When searched, officers found a gun, ammunition, methamphetamine, and fentanyl pills in his possession. Kenneth was also determined to be a previously convicted felon. He was booked on his warrant and has multiple new charges.
