(COLORADO SPRINGS) — According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 00 block of Stanford Street, near Pikes Peak Avenue and South Academy Boulevard, leading to a car chase and the arrest of a minor on Sunday morning, June 8.
CSPD reported that around 2 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the scene after receiving multiple calls of shots fired and a report that a male had been shot. When they arrived, a suspect vehicle was leaving the scene and nearly hit an officer who was approaching on foot.
Police chased the vehicle and performed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver to apprehend the driver. A minor was arrested for Vehicular Eluding and Reckless Endangerment, according to CSPD.
No one with gunshot wounds was found.
