Colorado Task Force 1 was deployed on July 7 to the Texas Hill Country, which is supported by 23 different fire agencies across the state of Colorado.

In a Facebook post, the team said they were working along the Guadalupe River in Kerr County, where they have completed search efforts in a 7.5-mile area.

The task force went “inch by inch and foot by foot along the banks of the river and in the water,” so then after heavy equipment operators can start to remove debris, allowing “communities to take further steps toward returning to normal.”

In the post, it also said that the team has received a bus where the members are able to take rest periods, giving them a break from the heat and humidity.
