PPD investigating death at City wastewater facility

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) is investigating a death with apparent gunshot wounds at the city’s wastewater treatment plant on Thursday, Sept. 11.

According to PPD, on Thursday at around 2 p.m., police were called to the City of Pueblo Wastewater Treatment Facility at 1300 Queens Avenue for a rescue call. The Pueblo Fire Department responded to the call and attempted lifesaving measures on a man with an apparent gunshot. The man would be declared dead.

Detectives responded to the scene to investigate. There does not appear to be a danger to the public, according to PPD. The investigation is ongoing.
