(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Police in Pueblo are investigating after a stolen car crashed on Highway 47 near Jerry Murphy Road on Monday, Sept. 15.

The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) reported on Monday, Sept. 15 shortly before 2:30 p.m. that officers were investigating a crash on Highway 47 and Jerry Murphy Road. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.

According to PPD, the incident began as a call reporting an auto theft. The suspects drove off in a stolen vehicle and did not stop for officers, leading to a crash with another vehicle.
