(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The City of Pueblo, along with the Pueblo Fire Department (PFD), is celebrating the grand opening of PFD’s new Fire Station No. 8.
According to the City, Fire Station No. 8 is one of three new fire stations built to expand the reach of PFD, improve response times, and help with growth in the Pueblo community. The new station is located at 4405 Jerry Murphy Road and will provide healthier living conditions, updated equipment, improved safety for the firefighters, and added training facilities.
Station No. 8 joins Fire Station No. 11 as the department’s newest fire stations. Station No. 11 held its grand opening on Friday, Aug. 22.
The City said upon conclusion of the grand opening and uncoupling ceremony, a public open house and station tours will be available for those in attendance.
