(PUEBLO, Colo.) — It’s officially time to kick off a day of coverage of the oldest high school rivalry this side of the Mississippi: The Bell Game! The FOX21 Morning News Team started their coverage of the legendary 125th football faceoff by welcoming both schools’ principals on the morning broadcast.

First, Centennial High School Principal Alex Trujillo made his appearance on the brisk morning, sporting shorts as he talked about his pride in the student body and community coming together for the game year after year.

Next, the Morning News Team brought on Central High’s Principal Destin Mehess. Principal Mehess shared that the Bell Game’s exciting and welcoming atmosphere mirrors what she believes makes Central High so special.

FOX21 will have continuous coverage of the Bell Game events all morning, Sept. 26, all the way up to Overtime’s report of the game itself.
