(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) found a man dead following a reported head-on crash on Sunday night, Sept. 28.

According to an official release, around 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 28, CSPD’s Communications Center received several calls telling them about a possible head-on crash on the MLK Overpass near the MLK Bypass and Circle Drive.

When they arrived, officers found one driver, a man, dead on the scene. The other driver was taken to the hospital in serious, but stable condition. As of 9:36 a.m. on Sept. 29, CSPD reports that he is in stable condition.

CSPD is investigating the incident, and speed and impairments are currently unknown as contributing to the crash.
