20-year-old motorcyclist caught going 120 mph near Silver Cliff

(CUSTER COUNTY, Colo) — A 20-year-old motorcyclist was caught going well over 100 mph on Highway 96 in Custer County.

According to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), deputies spotted the motorcyclist speeding dangerously, estimated at around 120 mph on Highway 96 near Bear Basin. As the motorcycle approached the town of Silver Cliff, radar reportedly recorded the rider going 98 mph.

Awaiting deputies safely pulled over the rider, identified as 20-year-old Ezra Trujillo of Pueblo, as he entered Silver Cliff. During the stop, deputies determined Trujillo did not possess the required motorcycle endorsement on his driver’s license, nor was the motorcycle registered as required by law.
