(SPONSORED) — The Police Foundation of Colorado Springs is once again bringing the community closer to the heroes behind the badge, and the paws on the ground, with its 2026 Calendar and K9 plush toys.
Recently, FOX21’s Krista Witiak had the chance to speak with Nicole Magic from the Police Foundation and CSPD Officer Comstock, who was joined by his K9 partner, Roam — also known as Mr. April in the new calendar.
Officer Comstock spoke about the important role K9s play in keeping both officers and the community safe.
“Yeah, it’s really a great opportunity for us to highlight what we do and what our dogs do,” Officer Comstock said. “They’re such a help — protect officers and citizens, you know — and they can do so much more than we can, just with their noses and everything else. So they are a great, a great resource that we heavily rely on for what we do.”
Nicole shared how the fundraiser supports officer programs, K9 units, and community outreach not covered by the city budget. And she even broke some exciting news on-air: K9 Roam will have his very own plush toy released next year, modeled after the real-life working dog himself.
The 2026 calendar and current K9 plush toys are available now at pfcos.org and at community events, including the upcoming Barks & Boos Fall Fest on Sunday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Every purchase, whether it’s a K9 plushie or a calendar, supports local heroes!
