(MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — The City of Manitou Springs has scheduled an emergency tree removal on Ruxton Avenue to address hazardous trees and will require a full road closure during the duration of the project.
According to the City, the work will begin on Thursday, Oct. 23. For the safety of the public and crews, Ruxton Avenue will be closed from Brook Street and Ruxton Ave., to Bluff Avenue and Pilot Knob Avenue from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The City is asking for any vehicles parked in the area to be moved before 7:30 a.m. on Thursday. No parking will be permitted on Ruxton Ave. between Brook St. and Pilot Knob Ave.
Traffic management signs and crews will be in place to assist drivers and pedestrians.
