FOX21 News will cover Barry Morphew’s appearance in court on Nov. 3 and will update this article when more information becomes available.
(ALAMOSA COUNTY, Colo.) — Barry Morphew’s additional status hearing will be held later today, Nov. 3, at 1:30 p.m.
This latest status hearing comes as a result of a hearing on Sept. 2, wherein Morphew’s attorneys requested that his bond be lowered from $3 million to $500,000. The presiding judge ruled that the bail remain $3 million, but adjusted it from cash-only to allow for surety, which essentially allows for a bond to be loaned on credit while a defendant awaits trial.
This bond decision also came alongside the scheduling of a Nov. 3 status hearing. Since Sept. 2’s hearing, Morphew has also been granted a motion to change attorney status on Oct. 8.
Morphew’s latest status hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in the Alamosa Combined Court.
