Victim in Halloween night stabbing identified

WATCH ABOVE: One dies in multiple-victim stabbing on Halloween night, according to police

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said the man who was killed in a stabbing on Friday, Oct. 31, has been identified as 31-year-old Raymundo Medina-Cabrera.

According to CSPD, on Friday, at around 11:45 p.m., officers were called to a disturbance in the 1400 block of North El Paso Street, east of Wahsatch Avenue and Columbia Street. When police arrived, they found one man and two women who all had stab wounds. An additional man and child were inside the home.

The three people with stab wounds were taken to the hospital for treatment. The man, later identified as Medina-Cabrera, died at the hospital. The two women were treated for serious, life-threatening injuries.

The second man, identified as 33-year-old Matthew Reginar, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and later taken to the Police Operations Center, where he was arrested for charges of:

Murder in the First Degree

Two counts of Criminal Attempted Murder in the First Degree

Two counts of Assault in the First Degree

Child Abuse
