PALISADE, Colo. (KREX) — One person has been confirmed dead after an apartment building exploded in Palisade Friday morning.
Palisade firefighters and police confirmed the fatality at 3 p.m. No identity or cause of death has yet been released.
Emergency crews responded to an apartment complex in the 900 Block of Iowa Avenue on Friday for a report of an explosion at around 7:15 a.m. Friday. Firefighters extinguished the blaze within an hour and a half, but officials say the building is a total loss.
