(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Air Force baseball kicks off their 2024 season in Starkville, Mississippi on Friday, Feb 16 to face the 2021 National champions.
The Falcons landed two Preseason All-Mountain West selections prior to the 2024 season, as both Sam Kulasingam and Jay Thomason were among the conference’s preseason standout list. As they begin their final season, they are looking to return to the NCAA tournament after falling in the Mountain West championship game last year.
“We’re all super excited. Obviously, everybody’s going to have, you know, first game of the year jitters on both sides of the field,” said Air Force senior, Doyle Gehring. “It’s going to be a really cool atmosphere. We’re really blessed to be able to get out there and go play against a top tier team like Mississippi State.”
First pitch is set for 3 p.m. Friday.
The Falcons home opener is set for March 15, when they welcome San Diego State for a Mountain West matchup.
