(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Saturday, May 10, the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) held its annual Fur Ball fundraiser, breaking the fundraising record for another year.
The 28th annual fundraiser had the theme of “Aristocats: Paris Nights & Jazz Delights,” and was held at the Double Tree Hotel located at 1775 East Cheynne Mountain Boulevard near Lake Avenue.
FOX21 News’ Morning Anchor Abbie Burke and Chief Meteorologist Matt Meister returned to emcee the event. Fur Ball raises money for HSPPR to give animals safety, care, healing, and hope. Money helps pay for lifesaving medical treatment, behavioral support, cozy beds, and meals.
Saturday’s event has so far raised $702,000, beating last year’s record of $681,000.
