(PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo.) — The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred in Colorado City.
On Thursday night, Jan. 23, PCSO deputies responded to a home in the 3700 block of Colorado Boulevard, near State Highway 165, on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was transported to the hospital where he later died.
The initial investigation determined that Jason M. Valdez, 22, who was living in the home, shot the victim. Valdez was arrested and accused of Second-Degree Murder in connection with the incident and was booked into the Pueblo County Jail.
PCSO detectives continue to investigate the incident, and the victim’s identity will be released at a later time.
