Superintendent’s contract renewed with Woodland Park school district

(WOODLAND PARK, Colo.) — The Woodland Park School District (WPSD) has renewed Superintendent Ken Witt’s contract. He has served on the WPSD school board as Superintendent since January of 2023.

Over the last year, the superintendent has focused on academics, fiscal responsibility, and parental rights. He is known for helping to implement the American Birthright Standard in the district, which promotes a curriculum that strives to present America’s history and principles in a positive light.

In a Jan. 18 press release, Board President Mick Bates said, “Mr. Witt has demonstrated a clear understanding of our vision for the district, and he consistently leads with the conviction and dedication necessary to fulfill our aspirations for the district and the families we serve.”

According to a statement from the Woodland Park School District, Superintendent Witt expressed gratitude for the chance to continue serving WPSD. He mentioned the safety of students, academic excellence, and fundamental values as some of his top priorities going into his second year with the district.

“I am honored to continue serving the Woodland Park School District and will continue working to ensure our students receive the high-quality education they deserve,” he was quoted as saying.
