(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) said an influx of dogs being brought into its Pueblo shelter has caused the shelter to ask for help from the community.
According to HSPPR, over the first seven days in March HSPPR Pueblo welcomed 97 dogs into its shelter which HSPPR said is unusual for this time of year. In March 2023, HSPPR welcomed 70 dogs in the first seven days of March.

The influx has caused HSPPR Pueblo to run low on open kennel space and needs help from the community.
HSPPR is hoping that the community can share its Facebook post and help families reunite with a lost dog or find their newest furry family member.
Check HSPPR’s website for pets available for adoption or dogs currently in their lost and found.
