(COLORADO SPRINGS) — According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD), crews responded to a house fire at approximately 11:45 a.m. on Friday, March 8, on Norwood Avenue in the Stratton Meadows Neighborhood. Smoke and fire were reported as coming from the house.

Fire crews were able to get the flames under control by around noon. During the fire attack, CSFD found one person inside the home. They recovered the victim, but the person was later pronounced dead.

The Colorado Springs Police Department is working with CSFD Fire Investigators to determine the cause of the events.
