(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A full-service daycare, boarding, grooming, and training facility for dogs recently opened in downtown Colorado Springs just in time for Spring Break vacation plans!
Hank’s K9 Social Club is located at 815 South Sierra Madre Street, just south of Weidner Field, and officially opened in February. The facility features indoor and outdoor play areas, along with classic kennels and “swanky hotel rooms,” according to its website.

As for the name of the business, Owner Robert Tunink explained the special reasoning behind it–a nod to his own four-legged pal. “Hank came to me from a bad first six months of his life, which was pretty much a kennel and a bark collar. He was scared of everything. Hank is the best dog I have ever had. He goes with me everywhere and I would be lost without him.”
According to a press release from the Downtown Partnership, with the expansion of dog-friendly apartments in the area, Tunink thought Hank’s K9 Social Club was the perfect fit. “We love our dogs and wanted to help others who love theirs as much as we do,” said Tunink.
