CSFD rescues hiker near Cottonwood Creek

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) hiked downstream on Wednesday, July 3 to rescue an injured hiker.

CSFD reported at around 1 p.m. on Wednesday that CSFD crews were on the scene at Campus Drive and Vincent Drive along Cottonwood Creek to rescue the hiker.

CSFD was able to successfully evacuate the victim, who is stable, and was transported to the hospital. CSFD said this was not the result of a fall.
