(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Children’s Hospital of Colorado, Colorado Springs neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is giving a little extra love to its smallest patients and their families this 4th of July by helping them celebrate in style.
These photos of fashionable NICU babies in cute 4th of July gear were sent by the Celebration Committee at the Children’s Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs.
The Celebration Committee is a group of NICU nurses, support staff, and volunteers. Their mission is to bring a feeling of normalcy and joy to families during what can be a very challenging time.
“Celebrating special occasions in the NICU fosters emotional well-being for both parents and babies,” said Erin Havrilla, MSN, RN, NE-BC, clinical nurse manager of the NICU. “These moments of celebration provide hope and create cherished memories that strengthen the bond between families and our team.”
