(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash that happened in the evening hours of Sunday, Aug. 4, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
CSPD said on Sunday, at around 9:45 p.m. police were called to the intersection of Hancock Expressway and Jet Wing Drive about a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. When first responders arrived they found a pedestrian but the car did not remain on the scene. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Major Crash Team responded and assumed the investigation. Investigators figured out the pedestrian was crossing southbound when a vehicle traveling west hit them. The vehicle is described as a dark in color coupe or sedan and possibly has damage to the front end.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact CSPD at (719) 444-7000.
